This is exactly right. Source code is on the verge of becoming like assembly. The next step is getting rid of “source code” entirely and just making an efficient binary directly with AI.

Why is AI eating software alive? Because most software is just CRUD apps with cliché designs that a 12-year old can vibe in 2 hours. The creative, the critical and the cutting edge is where capable engineers will be paid their weight in gold.
