    Mnemonics too feel like a forbidden technology. Motor free, but you get to tinker with them on your own. By necessity.

    I recently took another read through Indistractable. It's grown in value, especially since @nireyal avoided tech hysteria in the face of distractions way back then. You'll enjoy and benefit from the grounding guidance in it when you take a second or first look yourself.
